As you can probably imagine, we get lots of orders for cake and cake colours vary right across the colour spectrum. In recent months, though, one colour has risen above all others to become the firm favourite – the colour pink.

Now, obviously, we all know that pink is the official colour for little girls and stands for sugar and spice and all things nice but this surge in requests for pink coloured cakes also led us to think about what other meanings the colour pink might have and we came up with these gems:

Pink is a delicate colour that means sweet, nice, playful, cute, romantic, charming, feminine, and tenderness. ‘In the pink’ means healthy. Tickled pink means being happy and content. While both red and pink represent love, the colour red represents heat and passion; the colour pink represents romance and charm. Hot pink is used to communicate playfulness, while light pink is used to communicate tenderness.

So, you see, it’s understandable that people like pink cake because it conjures up sweetnessand affection.
