A 90th birthday is a big milestone and anyone reaching it deserves a grand celebration. We hope that is exactly the kind of celebration that was had. When we were commissioned to produce a special birthday cake for for this event we knew it was going to be something special.
A 2-tier design to provide sufficient cake to go round the many friends and family; a beautiful mid-pink design complete with hand made roses and edible lace to complete the decoration.
We’re often asked for themed cupcakes and this time we were asked to come up with some ideas for a few best loved places that have been visited for a special birthday. Spain and France are featured but we wonder how many more places you can name?

Valentine’s Day is always a hectic time of year and this year was no exception. We have lots of requests to include messages on our cupcakes or to include a special message on a card. Of course, Valentine’s Day is traditionally associated with tokens of love but other dates throughout the year are also special – the first date, the first anniversary – and sweet treats such as these red velvet cupcakes are the best way we know of making the occasion memorable. This floral tribute was requested as a surprise for a much-loved Gran celebrating her milestone 80th birthday with family and friends. We hope it was a memorable birthday made extra special with this sweet treat.
Our mission was to give this design a 70s vibe with lots of flowers and lots of colour. Our customer could hardly contain her delight when she saw the finished design. We’re pleased to say we captured her requirements exactly and we hope her mum was as thrilled with it as she was.
We’re so lucky to be able to share in your celebrations – and here we have a celebration cake fit for a 3 year old. Dinosaurs are Kalam’s favourite thing, so we couldn’t disappoint, could we?
This egg-free 2-tier vanilla sponge features a baby dinosaur topper. We love to hear your feedback on our cakes and in the words of Kalam’s mum this design was simply ‘perfect’.
It has been an exceptionally busy year for us and we would like to send our thanks along with seasons greetings to all our customers.

December is always a very busy time for us bakers. It’s also a short month so that we always advise our customers to order their celebration cakes early as – just like in the high wedding season – December is always booked up early. This year has been exceptionally busy and, regrettably, we’ve had to disappoint a lot of people. Take a look at our contact page for the suggested length of notice we usually ask for then at least double it during peak periods.
Whatever the time of year and whatever you’re celebrating – please ensure you order in plenty of time to avoid disappointment.

A beautiful floral display of brightly coloured flowers as a fitting tribute to Madeleine – 80 years young and looking forward to a family celebration. Floral colours included pink, lemon and lavender.
We all know trends come and go. There is always the next new ‘big thing’ but one request that is always on trend is the call for Superhero cakes. Here is one such request from a young man who has had a tough year. For his birthday nothing less than the man of steel would do. it had to be Superman and it had to be chocolate.
No sooner said than done! We hope it made his day.

Everyone has a favourite cake – or at least a cake that they find it difficult to refuse. This is one of those cakes as far as we’re concerned. Carrot cake is one of our most requested flavours and the addition of real carrot ensures a moist crumb is guaranteed.

The story behind this birthday cake is that the birthday boy is a keen photographer. His wife had a few ideas about how she wanted to honor his milestone birthday and this was the end result. We included an edible replica of the Nikon Camera complete with strap made with fondant and included a few images around the side to add to the effect.
Cake has a wonderful way of making an occasion into a celebration. From the arrival of baby to birthdays and weddings and all the events in-between, cake is usually the centre-piece, the one thing we look forward to and expect to see. Personalised cake makes the event even more special, just as here, marking a big birthday with cupcakes. Makes a person feel extra special, don’t you agree?
It just so happens that this cake was requested for an 80th birthday celebration, but whatever the age, nothing says it better than flowers. We were also asked to pay homage to Anita’s home town in the form of her favourite football club.

What better way to celebrate a big birthday than with a giant cupcake? When the call came in we found out that Mark is partial to a bit of chocolate so there really couldn’t be any other flavour – chocolate cake and a few of his favourite sweets, too. We hope he gave Emma his last Rolo for dreaming up this delicious surprise!
Wasps… (the sporty, hunky, rugby types, you understand – not the buzzing, flying types with a nasty sting) really got to grips with our cupcakes during a touchdown at their training ground! It was all we could do to steer clear of the scrum during our delivery! This selection of oreo, red velvet and salt caramel cupcakes were sent with love to Brendan Macken of Wasps Rugby FC who celebrated his birthday recently. We hope he got to try a few, although it was looking doubtful when his team mates attempted a conversion! Those pesky Wasps….!
