We’re often asked for themed cupcakes and this time we were asked to come up with some ideas for a few best loved places that have been visited for a special birthday. Spain and France are featured but we wonder how many more places you can name?
We had great fun designing these Alice in Wonderland themed cupcakes for a recent Baby Shower. The collection includes the Cheshire Cat, the Madhatter, Queen of Hearts and Alice herself. The recipients thought they were ‘Amazing’ – and so do we!

We all love a wedding and the anticipation and excitement over a certain Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has certainly reached fever pitch over the last few weeks. Here at Sweet Williams Cakes we’ve been kept busy baking and decorating many dozens of cupcakes for you to enjoy throughout the ceremony.
Our wedding cakes are as unique as you are. You may have a particular theme or design in mind; you may want a particular flavour; you may want your cake to reflect your particular taste.
Woodland themes, floral designs and metallics have been much in demand this year and are set to continue into 2018 together with ruffles and colour. Cupcakes are still very much in demand, they provide just the right portion of cake and look and tast delicious. The top flavours this year are still vanilla and chocolate.
Clare and Calum chose to provide their guests with cupcakes adorned with butterflies and reflecting their wedding colour theme of navy and white.
There’s no denying the popularity of cupcakes and despite the fact that trends come and go the cupcake is still going strong. What’s not to like? They come in a convenient portion size; there are lots of flavours to choose from; they’re topped with delicious flavoured frostings and buttercream.
It’s clear from our order books that cupcakes remain as popular as ever. These little beauties are gluten-free and delicately flavoured with vanilla.
We often receive requests from oversees for celebration cakes for family members, so we were pleased to receive an order for this cupcake selection – Lemon, Raspberry Ripple and Oreo flavours. What we didn’t know at the time was that they were to travel 1200 miles to Madrid! We do hope they reached their destination safely and without the cabin crew taking the opportunity to sample a few! :-))
