Cake designs incorporating dinosaurs are really popular with our cusstomers if the number of requests we receive is anything to go by. This baby dino is just so cute.
We’re so lucky to be able to share in your celebrations – and here we have a celebration cake fit for a 3 year old. Dinosaurs are Kalam’s favourite thing, so we couldn’t disappoint, could we?
This egg-free 2-tier vanilla sponge features a baby dinosaur topper. We love to hear your feedback on our cakes and in the words of Kalam’s mum this design was simply ‘perfect’.
It has been an exceptionally busy year for us and we would like to send our thanks along with seasons greetings to all our customers.
We hope you all enjoyed your Christmas together with loving family and great friends and found some time among the festivities to put your feet up and relax a little! We know how difficult that can be!
We look forward to hearing from you in the New Year and to see what cake challenges you set for us in 2019. Don’t forget, whatever you’re celebrating – we have a cake for it!
We hope you all have a wonderful New Year.
We all know trends come and go. There is always the next new ‘big thing’ but one request that is always on trend is the call for Superhero cakes. Here is one such request from a young man who has had a tough year. For his birthday nothing less than the man of steel would do. it had to be Superman and it had to be chocolate.
No sooner said than done! We hope it made his day.
There’s a superhero in all of us – we just need the courage to put on the cape!
Your baby’s first birthday party is going to be a lot of fun for the family as well as for baby. With a little planning before the party the first birthday can be a really sweet occasion. We love hearing your ideas for themes and turning these into celebration cakes for all to enjoy. Caitlin’s birthday was no exception with this 2-tier vanilla cake adorned with balloons heading up into the clouds. The pretty pastel colours worked really well and this cake would look equally as good reproduced in hues of blue.
Super hero cakes are a classic when it comes to party cake themes. During 2017 the super hero cake has remained one of the top trends. Bold, graphic lettering, bright colors, masks and capes are all fun design elements that can be easily customized while staying within the super hero theme. This trend looks set to continue in 2018.
When it comes to choosing a birthday cake, little girls always go for the classics… princesses, Frozen, fairies, flowers and My Little Pony are among the favourite requests.
One of the biggest trends though is the Unicorn – fluffy layered sponge, covered in buttercream or sugarpaste and with a beautivul mutl coloured tumbling mane. What little girl wouldn’t love a Unicorn for her birthday?
It’s lovely to have some special occasion to celebrate the birth of your child – if for no other reason than to get together with family and friends, you haven’t seen for ages and introduce them to your new addition.
So, whether you’re planning a christening, blessing or naming ceremony, we have just the cake to help you celebrate your little one – and here’s just one example. Aww – too cute!
Film and TV provide great inspiration for children’s birthday parties. We often receive requests for a particular theme or character and children (and their parents) are so excited to see the end result. This cake is no exception and reflects the wish of one young man celebrating his birthday this week. We hope Dillan and his friends have a great time ‘Finding Dory’.
We’ve been looking into the realm of Pokemon recently. Pokemon is currently trending for kids parties and as we all know – it isn’t a party without cake. So, for all you Pokemon fans out there – here’s the cake, now lets party……..
It’s been another busy birthday week and sometimes, we have to admit, you lovely people out there can leave thoughts of cakery treats till the last minute. Fortunately, for one young man, we were able to include a late request from his mum for something to tickle his fussy tastebuds – nothing too fancy, you understand. We think these vanilla cupcakes fitted the bill perfectly and we thought these emoji characters added some extra fun to the celebrations.
One young fan had his wish granted this week with a cake featuring his favourite football team. We were glad to be able to help make his wish come true…
This cake just makes my mouth water! Temptingly moist vanilla cake with smooth, sweet buttercream in an ombre design. Don’t try to resist!
We’re often asked to produce cake in someone’s favourite cartoon characters. We try to keep up with trends. Here is one such request. A cake theme from the Studio Ghibli animation film studios. Say hello to Totoro and friends….
This cake is dairy-free and low sugar to suit special dietary requirements.
When we received a call from a mum to make a special cake for her son the dietary requirements were challenging to say the least.
First and foremost it had to be a Tinkerbell cake and green (of course), then it had to be dairy-free and soy- free, and it had to be low in sugar. As we set to work, we decided to make it as low in sugar as possible including making our own sugarpaste using a low sugar alternative.
Here’s the finished cake…..one very green Tinkerbell fairy princess and a very happy little boy and his mum.
We were quite pleased with the result, too!
We love designing birthday cakes for kids. They can follow a particular trend, a TV programme or a film and we get just as much fun out of making them as seeing the look of joy and excitement on the children’s faces (and their parents faces, too!).
As you can see, this design is for a big fan of Timmy Time – a little lamb with a lot to learn. Happy 1st Baa’thday, Lawson!
Those of you who follow football will know that things haven’t been going too well of late for a certain ‘special one’ at Stamford Bridge!
We know that, despite the poor results, this wasn’t going to interfere with the party celebrations for a young man whose birthday it was recently. Knowing that he was a die-hard Chelsea FC supporter, what else could we do but design a cake in his team colours. We hope he had a great birthday and this special cake helped to soften the blow of another poor result for his favourite football team.
There have been lots of celebrations this week and we’ve been involved in most of them!
We can always guarantee there will be lots of colour in our customers’ birthday cake requests. The colour pink (and its variations) has been the trend recently. Check out this cute 1st birthday cake, made dairy-free, for Ivy-Mae. We hope she had a lovely day.
Make your child’s next birthday bash stand out with one of our creative birthday cakes. The Top 10 in all-time favourites for kids’ birthdays still include jungle, train and pirate themes for boys and princess, Hello Kitty and My Little Pony for the girls.
A little girl was celebrating her first milestone this week with this colourful creation – completely different to the norm and dairy and gluten-free. We hope she had a lovely time.
