When it comes to reaching the milestone of living more than seven decades it is a moment worth celebrating. Not only is he 70 but Peter also loves his golf. It’s become somthing of a joke with his nearest and dearest – so when we were asked to mark the occasion in a fun way – this was the result.

The story behind this birthday cake is that the birthday boy is a keen photographer. His wife had a few ideas about how she wanted to honor his milestone birthday and this was the end result. We included an edible replica of the Nikon Camera complete with strap made with fondant and included a few images around the side to add to the effect.
Cake has a wonderful way of making an occasion into a celebration. From the arrival of baby to birthdays and weddings and all the events in-between, cake is usually the centre-piece, the one thing we look forward to and expect to see. We love being part of your birthday celebrations and this week was a particularly big week for milestone birthdays! This family affair brought together a large group of friends and family for a luxury 80th birthday celebration which was held at the Coombe Abbey Hotel, Coventry. Our 2-tier sponge cake adorned with a daisy chain design was the star attraction – well, apart from the birthday girl herself, that is.
