We receive lots of requests for cakes with a particular hobby or sporting theme in mind and this golfing design is no exception. Bespoke designs don’t always have to be huge but the design should be in scale to the size of the cake. We love to come up with ideas to suit all budgets and there’s no project too small. This cake was for Graeme who was celebrating a big birthday.

The Rugby World Cup is now under way and we’re all hoping the home countries do well in the tournament. There is some stiff competition and everyone wants to get their hands on the Webb Ellis Cup.

Sport has been the topic of conversation at Sweet Williams Cakes this week. The football season has just started but we’ve also had Athletics, the Swimming World Championships, and the US PGA Golf tournament is in full swing (ahem – excuse the pun) and coming up we’ve got the Rugby World Cup. All exciting stuff if you’re a sports fan.
What started all this sport talk? A request from a customer for a cake with a cycle theme – well, the Tour de France has recently been completed, closely followed by the Trois Etapes Pro-Am Tour. So, of course, we obliged and here’s a pic of the finished cake.
