When it comes to choosing a birthday cake, little girls always go for the classics… princesses, Frozen, fairies, flowers and My Little Pony are among the favourite requests.

It’s been another busy birthday week and sometimes, we have to admit, you lovely people out there can leave thoughts of cakery treats till the last minute. Fortunately, for one young man, we were able to include a late request from his mum for something to tickle his fussy tastebuds – nothing too fancy, you understand. We think these vanilla cupcakes fitted the bill perfectly and we thought these emoji characters added some extra fun to the celebrations.

The months are ticking by with this little one due to make her appearance in June and we’re happy to be a small part of the celebrations with this baby-themed cake and to say ‘Welcome to the World, little girl.’

You can’t have failed to notice that a big birthday has been celebrated this week. We may not have got the call to make a cake for HM Queen Elizabeth but we did get to make lots of cakes for other people celebrating big birthdays this week. This is one of our favourite selections because it features Oreo cupcakes and gold decoration. So, you see, these cupcakes are fit for a Queen – or, at least, a Queen for a day.
