Wedding Cake Trends 2019

Wedding high season is traditionally throughout the summer months and whilst it is true to say that our work moves up a gear during this time of year, our couples are choosing to tie the knot at other times in the year. Designs are very much a personal thing but we thought we would include a word or two about current trends.

While naked wedding cakes and all-white tiers never go out of fashion, you may want to incorporate one or two of these 2019 wedding cake trends to lend a modern twist. Deconstructed layers are making a come-back thanks to Harry and Meghan who chose to display their cakes individually rather than a stacked creation. Tall and multi-level cakes – if you want to update the look of your wedding cake, opt for elongated tiers. The textured buttercream look really lends itself to a rustic luxe wedding style. Copper effects – not all that glitters is gold! Copper really is the metallic of the moment, so try working some into your design. Naked cake designs are getting a bit more adventurous with the addition of drips, interesting toppers, multiple cake flavours and different colours. Geometric designs – triangles and hexagons are a bit more interesting than squares and circles. Ruffles – try pairing one tier of vertical ruffles with a simple, sleek second and third tier so that the design really stands out.

Jolly Gingers

Our cookies have been taken the length and breadth of the country for special events and occasions. Our cookies go down well at corporate events – and what better way to publicise a new product? We also provide cookie favours for weddings. Our jolly little gingers were a special point of interest at a recent wedding. Dressed for the occasion – and don’t they look smart?

Weddings

Trends for weddings are constantly changing and we love having the opportunity to come up with new ideas and styles for wedding cakes. Sarah and Martin had their hearts set on a woodland theme. The cake consisted of mouthwatering lemon, chocolate and dairy-free vanilla sponge cakes. The whole effect was stunning and we hope that Sarah, Martin and their guests enjoyed it.
